S2P is a software programme that was specifically developed to assist teachers to proactively identify learners with possible emotional and social disorders. Teachers interface with the S2P programme via the S2P App, from their mobile devices.
Teachers are guided to record such observations of learners' behavior at school on the S2P diagnostic template with pre-determined and formulated responses in four categories:
1) Emotional development
2) Social well-being
3) Ethical values
4) Feedback on scholastic performance
To this end, S2P is the perfect pre-screen application for the DBE’s S.I.A.S. protocol.
The focus of the first phase of the S2P implementation is to ensure teachers are comfortable in their interaction with the programme and App and the initiation of the school’s own S2P data base. The second phase of the S2P implementation allows for teachers to send reports directly to parents and thus, makes parents part of the child’s day at school.
The S2P feedback empowers parents to be pro active about their child's progress. To this end, making the parents play an active role in their child's education and overall well-being.
S2P supports our children to be successful in navigating their path to adulthood and to realise their dreams. To this end, the S2P matrix will also report on possible "Barriers to Learning and Special Needs" of our children.
